Oceanside Equestrian Center sits on top of a mound in the beautiful South Morro Hills overlooking the Arrowood Golf Course, Vista and Oceanside hills and valleys in the distance.  The 25 acres of terrain is level or gently sloped, and has endless riding space and large paddocks and pastures.

Our boarding options include pastures, paddocks, corrals, and barn stalls. Pastures range in size and offer lots of space for horses to roam. Private pastures are available upon request. Paddocks and corrals range in size, typically 24x24 and 30x50, and there are many customization options for size, amount of shade, and location.

Our amenities include several arenas, round pens, an obstacle course, many crosstie areas, and wash racks.  We offer one large jumping arena, a medium sized arena, and an indoor arena. The two outdoor arenas have excellent footing and dry up very quickly after rain and are dragged frequently and consistently. The indoor arena is also a popular riding spot, especially when it rains or there is unusually hot weather, and it also has lights for evening riding. There are two beautiful round pens that also feature great footing. The obstacle course is approximately 2 acres in size, and features many creative obstacles for training horses. With 25 acres to roam, there are many paths to walk around the facility. Recently added is a cow sorting area with sheep and cattle available for working.

We have two onsite trainers, Gayle McCall and Julianna Caturano. Gayle McCall is a Dressage trainer who works with riders of all levels. Julianna Caturano is an English and Western trainer with a specialty in hunter/jumper riding and Eventing. She also works with horses who need to be started, are green, problem horses, or in need of rehabilitation. Both trainers are friendly and knowledgeable about their specialties, and have programs that can fit to the unique needs of the horses and riders that they train.

OEC takes pride in taking care of the horses onsite, and owners are instantly alerted if a horse acts out of character, and we feed high quality hay. OEC is also known for being an evacuation center in the event of fires and have drawn evacuees from all over southern CA. Ocean breezes keep us cooler and the surrounding farms and golf course are irrigated giving us safety from fires.
